Desk Maya was developed with the goal of having fewer elements and be produced with wood products, metal is only used for fixing the elements. It is important to think on the long-term and by using only one type of material, it facilitates recycling at the end of the product’s life and causes less environmental impact. With our technologies focused on our material, we have managed to create a simple and timeless design that will look great in your home space.
The design of the legs was inspired by the iconographic writing of the Maya, but they also allow the desk to be stable and still have a cable passage on the back of the product. Thus, joining design to function.
Materials: MDF and particleboard panels, essentially made of recycled wood, lacquered matte and covered with natural wood veneer.

Description
Inês Viana was born in Lisbon, in 1995.
Although she was raised in Portugal, she studied in an English school, making it one of her native languages.
Inês began to study Design on her degree in IADE Creative University, as a broad course, which allowed her to explore different paths. It was when she won a Design contest organized by IADE, called Creative Week, that she decided her path would follow Product Design. She specialized with a Master in Equipment Design at Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidad de Lisbon.
